I began my career as a qualified dentist working in clinics and hospitals attending to patients with rural and limited literacy backgrounds, accenting my understanding about community dentistry and public health with a Masters Qualification. In the way I found my calling and purpose to work with defenceless animals and the environment, starting as an on ground feeder and animal rescuer, something which I still do, while also graduating to larger academic and policy issues of animal human conflict and animal rights frameworks founding the Project Nayna initiative. I have been closely associated with A and A Partners as a part of its founding team, working and furthering the firm’s policy that lawyering is a tool for social change and that any professional organization in any field should not loose its goal for greater good.
Representative Work
- Setting up pro-bono practice at A and A Partners which works on animal cruelty cases
- Advising on policy, legislative frameworks, case dockets and animal cruelty assistance for feeders, especially women feeders working on harassment cases, FIR reporting, and following and assisting in animal welfare litigation throughout the country.
- I advise A and A clients along side the legal team on cases involving CSR and public discourse involving animal welfare initiatives.
- I also work with the Firm’s POSH framework.
